Synopsis
The early Middle Ages were a time marked by heavy swords and strict blood laws. The ruling clan found itself in discord, with the guilt for the accidental death of the brother falling upon the Grand Duke. According to the prevailing law, the younger brother, a bastard, was obligated to take revenge. His refusal to carry out the act led to the loss of everything he possessed, as the saying went: “For peace you need more swords than for a war.”
