Synopsis

A camp of Russian gypsies is shown dancing and playing music. After an opening dance, a quartet of beer-drinkers performs the Volga Boatman song, followed by another group pulling on a rope while singing it (revealing later that the other end of the rope is tied to a very small dog). A trench-coated bomber sneaks into a palace, where Rice-Puddin', the mad monk, is seen cheating at a jigsaw puzzle. He observes the activity in the gypsy camp and instructs a henchman to retrieve the gypsy girl. The villagers revolt, causing The Mad Monk to flee on his horse; they insert a bomb into his pants just as he transforms the horse into a helicopter, which then explodes.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 4

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
