Synopsis

Ines does not give her vow to her boyhood friend Moritz out of love, nor even because he is wealthy. On the contrary, the financially savvy Ines finds Moritz interesting precisely because he is a low-income earner. A fictitious marriage with him offers her significant tax savings. On paper, the arrangement is carefully crafted and sophisticated, except for a minor detail. Unfortunately, a conscientious financial officer moves into the same apartment building, forcing Ines and Moritz to convincingly play the role of a newly in love couple to avoid being exposed as unscrupulous tax evaders—leading to consequences neither of them could have imagined.
