We Have Decided Not to Die

*Three Wordless Rituals* consists of three distinct vignettes: "Birth," "Between," and "Rebirth." In "Birth," a woman lies at the bottom of a swimming pool, alone. The camera pans over her body as she begins to rise, then sinks again. Convulsions follow, and she eventually rises and hovers above the pool. In "Between," a shirtless man in white pants stands in an asphalt lot, with a car visible on either side. Convulsions begin, and the cars back up, still facing him and each other. They pause, then race toward him. He leaps. In "Rebirth," a shirtless youth in white shorts stands in front of a tall building. He enters through open doors, walks to an elevator, and begins his ascent. Convulsions strike him as he rides to the top floor. He exits, pauses, and runs toward a window, which he crashes through.
