Synopsis

Amanda is a divorced woman who works as a photographer. In the fall, she starts to see the world differently as she begins to question her life's purpose, her relationships with her career and with men, and what they all signify. As the layers of her daily experiences are peeled away, scenes featuring scientists, philosophers, and religious leaders provide direct commentary to an off-screen interviewer on academic topics. Through these insertions, Amanda gradually comes to understand the foundations of the quantum world. During her moment of realization, as she contemplates the Great Questions posed by these featured thinkers, she begins to grasp various inspirations and starts to perceive the world anew.
