When Fall Is Coming
Synopsis
Michelle lives in retirement in a village in Burgundy near her longtime friend Marie‑Claude. Her daughter Valérie, who resides in Paris, brings her grandson Lucas to stay with his grandmother for the school vacation. During that visit Michelle prepares lunch containing toxic mushrooms, which makes Valérie ill; she recovers quickly but then prohibits her mother from seeing Lucas again. Isolated and remorseful, Michelle becomes depressed until Marie‑Claude’s son is released from prison.
