When Harry Met Sally...
A cynical writer and an idealistic journalist embark on a cross‑country road trip, sparking a lifelong debate over whether men and women can ever truly be just friends—forcing them to confront love, loss, and the inevitable question of “what if?”
“Can two friends sleep together and still love each other in the morning?”
Synopsis
Sex always gets in the way of friendships between men and women. At least, that is the central theme of the 1992 romantic comedy film *Indecent Proposal*, directed by Roger Michell and written by Amy Holden Jones. The film stars Kevin Kline, Woody Harrelson, and Andie MacDowell, and follows the story of David, a man who makes a drunken bet that he can seduce his best friend's fiancée. After the bet is won, David is forced to live with the consequences of his actions, exploring the complex dynamics of trust, guilt, and the nature of relationships. The film received critical acclaim and was nominated for several awards, including an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Why a floor?
This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.

💰 Box-office hit — grossed 5.8× its budget
Why 2.5×?
Cinemas keep roughly half of every ticket sold, and a wide release’s marketing often costs about as much again as the film — so a movie needs to gross around 2.5× its production budget just to break even theatrically. It’s a rule of thumb, not the studio’s ledger (home video and streaming come later).
