Synopsis
In 1933 in Berlin, Anna is nine years old when her life is upended. To escape the Nazis, her father, Arthur Kemper, a well-known Jewish journalist, flees to Zurich. Shortly thereafter, his family—Anna, her twelve-year-old brother Max, and their mother Dorothea—join him. Anna is forced to leave everything behind, including her beloved pink rabbit, and confront a new life abroad marked by challenges and hardship.
