Whistling Smith
Synopsis
This film presents a portrait of a tough cop with a big heart. Sergeant Bernie "Whistling" Smith patrols Vancouver's Eastside, an area frequented by petty criminals, down-and-outs, and a range of colorful characters. His approach to policing is unconventional. To many drug users, petty thieves, and prostitutes in this economically depressed neighborhood, he is not only a firm enforcer of the law but also a counselor and a friend.
