White Marble
Synopsis
Ossi, a half-senile man, and his wife travel to an old people's home to celebrate his 75th birthday, where many of their friends already reside. Just before the festivities, Ossi vanishes and embarks on a journey to "make an inventory of his life." He checks into a hotel and pretends to be a publishing director to attract an aspiring female novelist. He then travels to visit his former mistress and her new husband, surprising them with his presence and making obnoxious remarks. Next, he goes to see his son for the first time in 34 years, only to be met with cold treatment. Meanwhile, his equally demented wife, with the help of a local policeman, sets out to find him.
