“In the African heat, one woman stands alone”
Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of a shifting political landscape in a Francophone African nation, Maria Vial is determined to preserve her family’s coffee estate. As rebel forces and the national army clash for dominance, French peacekeepers withdraw, leaving behind a warning to the remaining European residents that they must fend for themselves. Undeterred, Maria resists abandoning her land, even as the threat of disaster grows.
