Who's Singin' Over There?
A hapless bus driver and his eclectic passengers race toward Belgrade, hoping to arrive before the Nazi onslaught, while clashing personalities and absurd mishaps threaten to derail their desperate escape.
Synopsis
On Saturday, 5 April 1941, one day before the Invasion of Yugoslavia of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, a diverse group of passengers gathers on a country road in central Serbia and boards a run-down bus heading toward the capital, Belgrade. The passengers include two Gypsy musicians, a World War I veteran, a Germanophile, an aspiring singer, a man who appears ill, and a hunter carrying a shotgun. The bus is owned by Krstic senior and driven by his impressionable and dim-witted son, Misko.
