When a wave of vulgar letters threatens to upend their genteel seaside town, a determined group of women bands together to unmask the anonymous culprit before reputations are shattered and social order collapses.

Synopsis
In the town of Littlehampton, residents—including the conservative Edith—start receiving letters filled with humorous profanities. The rowdy Irish migrant Rose is accused of the prank. Suspecting there is more to the situation, the town's women unite to uncover the truth.
