Synopsis
A troubled father/son relationship is tested when an ex-merchant Navy engineer falls terminally ill and his eldest son returns home to take on his unfinished boat-building project. William Laurance & Sons Marine Engineers is an intimate and moving account of a brilliant man coming to terms with terminal illness, a family coping with imminent death and a son struggling with the psychological and emotional burden of growing up in a very large shadow.
