Synopsis

*Born To Run* solidified Springsteen's transition from punk to rock star, marking a significant evolution in his career and personal life. The documentary explores the process behind the album, including the pressure Springsteen faced to deliver a successful release for Columbia Records and his efforts with the band to achieve the desired sound. It also examines the growing hype around Springsteen and how it began to overshadow both the album and the artist himself. The film includes vintage footage and new interviews, offering insight into the creation of what is considered one of the top ten albums of all time. Additionally, it features three 1973 live performances from Los Angeles: "Spirit in the Night," "Wild Billy's Circus Story," and "Thundercrack."

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 3

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
