Synopsis
Black Symphony represents the most ambitious staging to date by the band, capturing a unique concert held at Rotterdam's Ahoy Arena on February 7, 2008. The event sold out months in advance, with Within Temptation performing in front of 10,000 fans, accompanied by the 60-piece Metropole Orchestra and a 20-voice classical choir. The performance also featured on-stage stilt performers, costume changes, and an array of pyrotechnic and lighting effects. Special guests included Keith Caputo (ex-Life Of Agony), Anneke van Giersbergen (The Gathering), and George Oosthoek (Orphanage).
