Woman in the Meadow
Synopsis
Laura Malkaluoto is a museum conservator and expert in art forgeries working at a major museum. One morning, Sami Pirilä, a museum director born in Finland and currently based in Ecuador, becomes impressed by her professional abilities, particularly her skill in distinguishing authentic works from forgeries. As their interaction continues, Laura begins to suspect that Sami may not be who he claims to be. *The Woman in the Field* is a dramatic thriller set in 21st-century Finland, alternating between elegant museums and decaying rural landscapes. It is a love story filled with twists and turns, exploring themes of truth and lies, suspicion and certainty, authenticity and falseness, and the difficulty of uncovering an unambiguous truth.
