Synopsis

Set in the 1950s at Coney Island amusement park, the story follows four characters whose lives become entangled in the vibrant chaos of the setting. Ginny, a former actress with a volatile emotional nature, now works as a waitress at a clam house. She is married to Humpty, a rough-hewn carousel operator. Mickey, a young and handsome lifeguard, dreams of a future as a playwright. Completing the group is Carolina, Humpty’s long-estranged daughter, who has taken refuge in her father’s apartment to escape gangsters.
