Synopsis

Patrick Creadon's documentary offers an insightful look into the world of crossword puzzles, from the creative process behind constructing challenging puzzles to the competitive atmosphere of the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament. The film features New York Times crossword editor Will Shortz at work, interviews with celebrity solvers such as Bill Clinton and Ken Burns, and provides an inside view of the national tournament and its participants.
