Words, Words, Words

In a café, people converse, their words appearing as expressively shaped balloons. An older waiter attempts to engage a young woman who is reading, but she dismisses him. She then becomes involved in an animated and romantic conversation with a young man. Meanwhile, a dog moves from table to table, drinking beer and wine when people aren't looking. Older men discuss their sexual conquests until one of their wives interrupts them. The young couple argues; he begins to leave, she pleads with him, but he departs regardless. The waiter tries to assist. The older men continue talking until they fall asleep. Women chat. Later, as the waiter cleans up, he finds the young woman's book. He sighs, and the dog sleeps it off.
