World War III
Synopsis
Shakib is a homeless day laborer who remains haunted by the loss of his wife and son in an earthquake years earlier. In recent years he has formed a relationship with Ladan, a deaf and mute woman. The construction site where he works is revealed to be the set of a film depicting the atrocities committed by Hitler during World War II. Despite the circumstances, Shakib receives a movie role, accommodation, and an opportunity for personal advancement. When Ladan learns of his new situation, she arrives at his workplace seeking assistance. Shakib’s attempt to conceal her ends in tragedy, jeopardizing his newly acquired status and the prospect that had appeared to be a lifetime opportunity.
