Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton Play the Blues: Live from Jazz at Lincoln Center
Synopsis
Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton performed together at the Rose Theater in Frederick P. Rose Hall, the home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, for two sold-out shows dedicated to vintage blues. The collaboration, titled *Wynton Marsalis & Eric Clapton Play the Blues*, featured the two musicians joined by members of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. The repertoire, selected by Clapton and arranged by Marsalis, brought to life a collection of blues songs. Reprise Records released a CD and a CD/DVD combo capturing the performances, which include selections from the two public concerts as well as a special performance at Jazz at Lincoln Center's annual gala.
