Synopsis
Through the perspective of Ernest's highly educated alter-ego, Astor Clement, the series aims to explore the sociological puzzles of contemporary life. Each episode features Astor explaining a distinctive event or ritual central to everyday human experience. Ernest then, with assistance from his family members—also portrayed by Jim Varney—recreates the ritual through continuous, slapstick comedic action.
