Zero

Set in a near-future Berlin, a clandestine meeting unfolds between a board member of the powerful internet company "Freemee" and government officials. Unauthorized camera drones capture the event and broadcast it live online. The anonymous net activist group "Zero" publicly claims responsibility for the media attack. Online journalist Cynthia Bonsant, a widow and single mother, is tasked by the editor-in-chief of the online magazine "Daily" to conduct background research on "Zero." Although the group is officially labeled a terrorist organization, they claim to oppose the excessive societal control exerted by the "Act App," a tool that regulates users' lives. When a friend of Cynthia's 17-year-old daughter Viola is killed during a police pursuit of a criminal, "Zero" reaches out to Cynthia, attempting to recruit her. Meanwhile, Cynthia develops troubling suspicions during her investigation, as she discovers that a new version of the app is about to be released, one that could drastically alter the status quo.
