Biography

Adam Troy Dunn, nicknamed "Big Donkey," was an American former professional baseball player who played 14 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily with the Cincinnati Reds. Known for his exceptional power-hitting ability, Dunn was a two-time MLB All-Star and hit 38 or more home runs in seven consecutive seasons, a streak tied with Babe Ruth for the second-longest in MLB history. In 2004, he hit a 535-foot home run, the fourth-longest in MLB history, which landed in a different state. Despite his power, Dunn was also known for his high strikeout rate, ranking third on the all-time strikeout list with 2,379 and holding the American League record for most strikeouts in a single season with 222 in 2012.
