Biography

Albert Brooks is an American actor, comedian, director, and screenwriter known for his distinctive voice and comedic style. He has appeared in a variety of films, including *Taxi Driver* (1976), *Private Benjamin* (1980), *Broadcast News* (1987), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and *Drive* (2011). Brooks has also written, directed, and starred in several comedies, such as *Modern Romance* (1981), *Lost in America* (1985), and *Defending Your Life* (1991). His other film credits include *Unfaithfully Yours* (1984), *Out of Sight* (1998), *My First Mister* (2001), and *Concussion* (2015). In addition to his work in film, Brooks is the author of the book *2030: The Real Story of What Happens to America* (2011).
