Biography

Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer, fiddler, and music producer known for her contributions to bluegrass and country music. She began her career at a young age, competing in local music contests by the age of eight and recording for the first time at 14. In 1985, she signed with Rounder Records and released her first solo album in 1987. That same year, she was invited to join the band Union Station, with whom she released her first collaborative album in 1989. Krauss has continued to perform with Union Station throughout her career, establishing herself as a prominent figure in traditional American music.
