Biography
Amy Macdonald is a Scottish singer-songwriter who gained international recognition with the release of her debut studio album, *This Is the Life*, in 2007. The album produced the singles "Mr. Rock & Roll" and "This Is the Life," the latter of which reached number one in six countries and the top 10 in another 11. *This Is the Life* topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and achieved three million worldwide sales. Macdonald continued to see moderate success in the American market in 2008. Over the course of her career, she has sold more than 12 million records globally.
