Biography

Amy Pascal is an American film producer and business executive who served as Chairwoman of the Motion Pictures Group at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and Co-Chairperson of SPE from 2006 to 2015. During her tenure, she oversaw the production and distribution of numerous films and television programs. Her leadership at SPE coincided with the 2014 Sony Pictures hack, during which confidential emails were leaked. Among the emails were messages from Pascal that contained racist remarks, including jokes targeting then-President Barack Obama. Following the incident, Pascal left Sony, later admitting that she had been fired from the company.
