Biography

Andrea Fay Friedman built a 35-year acting career with Down syndrome, achieving breakthrough success in the entertainment industry. She portrayed Amanda, the girlfriend and later wife of Charles "Corky" Thacher, on the TV show *Life Goes On*. In 1993, she appeared in an episode of *Baywatch*. She also had roles in the 1997 film *Smudge* as Cindy, a girl in a group home for people with disabilities who attempts to hide her puppy, Smudge; in *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (1999); *Family Guy* (1999); and *Walker, Texas Ranger*.
