Biography

Andy Clyde, born Andrew Allan Clyde, was a Scottish and American actor whose career in film and television spanned approximately 45 years. He began his career in 1921 as a Mack Sennett comic in the silent film *On a Summer Day*. The fifth of six children, Clyde came from a theatrical family; his father, John Clyde, was an actor, producer, and manager. His siblings David and Jean also pursued careers in acting.
