Biography
Andy Weir is an American novelist known for his science fiction works. His 2011 novel *The Martian* was adapted into a 2015 film of the same name, which received critical acclaim and commercial success. Weir's second major novel, *Project Hail Mary*, published in 2021, was a finalist for the 2022 Hugo Award for Best Novel and was adapted into a 2026 film. Weir has been recognized for his contributions to science fiction, including receiving the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 2016.
