Biography

Angela Bullock was born Angela Lorraine Bullock in Harlem, New York, to Paul Bullock, a city bus driver and avid reader, and Lenora Pittman Bullock, a hospital worker with a remarkable singing voice. She was raised in Brooklyn with two younger sisters and attended Public School 59, George Gershwin Junior High School, and the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art. She earned a BA in Music and Liberal Arts from Hunter College before enrolling at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In 2014, she received a nomination for Best Female Lead at the NAACP Theater Awards for her performance in a local Los Angeles area play.
