Anna Faris

Anna Kay Faris (born November 29, 1976) is an American actress who gained widespread recognition for her comedic performances, especially as Cindy Campbell in the *Scary Movie* series (2000–2026).

Faris has appeared in a variety of films, including *May* and *The Hot Chick* (both 2002), *Lost in Translation* (2003), *Brokeback Mountain* and *Just Friends* (both 2005), *My Super Ex-Girlfriend* (2006), *Smiley Face* (2007), *The House Bunny* (2008), *What's Your Number?* (2011), *The Dictator* (2012), and *Overboard* (2018). She also provided voice roles in the *Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs* series (2009–2013) and the *Alvin and the Chipmunks* franchise (2009–2015).

In television, Faris portrayed the recurring character Erica in the tenth and final season of the NBC sitcom *Friends* (2004) and starred as Christy Plunkett in the CBS sitcom *Mom* (2013–2020). Beyond acting, she created and hosted the advice podcast *Unqualified* (2015–2023) and authored a memoir of the same name in 2017, which became a *New York Times* bestseller.
