Biography
Anne Truitt was an American sculptor who gained prominence in the late 1960s for her large-scale minimalist works. Her career began to take shape with an influential solo exhibition at the André Emmerich Gallery in 1963. She further solidified her reputation through participation in a notable group show at the Jewish Museum in Manhattan in 1966. Truitt's sculptures are characterized by their simplicity, geometric forms, and subtle use of color, reflecting the minimalist movement of her time.
