Biography

Anthony Daniels is an English actor and mime artist, best known for portraying the humanoid robot C-3PO in 11 *Star Wars* films, starting with *Star Wars* (1977) and ending with *Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker* (2019). Daniels both performed in the costume and provided the character's voice for the films, as well as for various animated television series. Initially reluctant to play a robotic character, Daniels was influenced by Ralph McQuarrie's early concept painting of C-3PO and R2-D2 on Tatooine, which led him to accept the role.
