Biography

Ariela Barer is an American actress and filmmaker known for her work in independent cinema. She co-wrote, starred in, and produced the 2023 ecological thriller *How to Blow Up a Pipeline*, adapted from the non-fiction book by Andreas Malm. The film premiered in competition at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and was distributed by Neon. Barer has also appeared in films such as *Ladyworld* (2018), *Disfluency* (2021), and is set to appear in *See You When I See You* (2026).
