Biography

Arthur Miller was an influential American playwright and essayist who made significant contributions to 20th-century theater. Among his most notable works are *All My Sons* (1947), *Death of a Salesman* (1949), *The Crucible* (1953), and *A View from the Bridge* (1955). *Death of a Salesman* is particularly recognized as one of the most distinguished American plays of the century. In addition to his work for the stage, Miller also wrote screenplays, including *The Misfits* (1961). His plays frequently examine themes such as personal responsibility, societal pressure, and moral integrity.
