Asghar Farhadi is an Iranian film director and screenwriter considered one of the most prominent filmmakers in Iranian and world cinema in the 21st century. His work is characterized by nuanced storytelling that explores the human condition through intimate, emotionally complex narratives, often centered on family dynamics and internal conflicts. Farhadi's films have received numerous international awards, including two Academy Awards, a Golden Bear, and a Prix du scénario. In 2012, he was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine and was awarded France's Legion of Honour.
