Biography

Ashok Saraf (born 4 June 1947) is an Indian actor and comedian who has appeared in numerous Hindi and Marathi films since the late 1960s. He is primarily known for his work in comedy films, many of which he performed in alongside Laxmikant Berde. In addition to his film career, Saraf has appeared in television serials such as *Yeh Choti Badi Baatein* and *Hum Paanch*, where he played the role of Anand Mathur. He is commonly referred to as the Mahanayak, Ashok Samrat, or Mama of the Marathi film industry.
