Barbara Jill Walters was an American broadcast journalist and television personality known for her interviewing abilities and rapport with viewers. She hosted several major programs, including *Today*, the *ABC Evening News*, *20/20* and *The View*. Her career extended from 1951 to her retirement in 2014, making her a prominent figure in television journalism. Walters received multiple honors, such as induction into the Television Hall of Fame in 1989, a Lifetime Achievement Award from NATAS in 2000, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.
