Biography

Big Brother 2012, also known as Big Brother 13, is the thirteenth season of the British reality television series *Big Brother*. It aired on Channel 5, premiering on 5 June 2012 and concluding on 13 August after 70 days. Originally planned to last thirteen weeks, the season was shortened to ten to accommodate *Celebrity Big Brother 10*. The season was won by Luke Anderson, who received half of the £100,000 prize, with the remainder awarded to Conor McIntyre due to the White Room twist. Anderson became the second transgender contestant to win the show, following Nadia Almada in 2004. Adam Kelly finished as the runner-up. The season marked the first time *Big Brother* aired in its regular summer slot on Channel 5 since the show's acquisition from Channel 4 in 2011.
