Biography

Bernard Lancret was a French film actor who appeared in more than thirty films from 1935 to 1956, playing both leading and supporting roles. He portrayed the composer Franz Schubert in the 1940 film *Sérénade*. Earlier in his career, he played the painter Julien Breughel in the 1935 film *Carnival in Flanders*. His filmography spans a variety of roles in French cinema during the mid-20th century.
