Betsy Brown(IV)

Betsy has been acting on the stage for most of her life, beginning in high school and continuing through college. She spent 30 years in New Jersey community theatre before making her debut in professional theatre at age 55. After taking early retirement from a job in university administration, she performed regularly in professional theatre productions in North Carolina, taking leading roles in plays such as *Driving Miss Daisy*, *On Golden Pond*, *Steel Magnolias*, *Three Tall Women*, and *Last Night of Ballyhoo*. Born and raised in a small Georgia town, she later lived in Massachusetts and New Jersey for 20 years before moving to North Carolina. She has a distinctive accent, primarily Southern but with some variation, and is interested in voiceover work. Betsy has appeared in numerous films produced as MFA theses by students at UNCG and the North Carolina School of the Arts, most recently in *Careful What You Wish For*.
