Biography
Bobby Wayne Woods was an American convicted murderer, kidnapper, and rapist, executed by the state of Texas for the 1997 murder and rape of 11-year-old Sarah Patterson. He was also sentenced to 40 years in prison for abducting and severely beating Patterson's younger brother, who survived the attack. Woods was sentenced to death on May 28, 1998, for Patterson's murder. His appeals, including one based on his low IQ, were unsuccessful, and he was executed on December 3, 2009.
