Briga Heelan

Briga Heelan is an American actress and comedian known for her roles in the sitcoms *Cougar Town*, *Ground Floor*, and *Undateable*. She initially pursued a career in musical theatre and first met her *Ground Floor* co-star Skylar Astin at a musical theatre convention. Her breakout television role came on *Cougar Town*. She is credited as a recurring character on *Undateable*, appearing in three episodes plus the pilot. Heelan was able to film both *Ground Floor* and *Undateable*, both of which are directed by Bill Lawrence, at the same time because they are multi-camera productions that require fewer production days compared to single-camera shows. TV critic Alan Sepinwall praised Heelan's performance in *Ground Floor*, calling her "simply terrific as Jenny: warm and quirky while always feeling like a strong and independent character." The *Los Angeles Times* also commended her work, stating that Heelan "makes *Ground Floor* watchable" and describing her as "remarkably alive and in the moment; she makes real all that she touches.
