Biography

Carlo Ponti was born on 11 December 1912 in Magenta, Lombardy, Italy. He worked as a producer and production manager, and is known for his involvement in the films *Doctor Zhivago* (1965), *La Strada* (1954), and *Marriage Italian Style* (1964). He was married to Sophia Loren and, earlier, to Giuliana Fiastri. Ponti died on 10 January 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland.
