Biography
Wish You Were Here is a 1987 British comedy-drama film written and directed by David Leland. It stars Emily Lloyd, Tom Bell, Geoffrey Hutchings, and Jesse Birdsall. The film follows the coming-of-age story of a young girl growing up in a small coastal town in postwar England. Loosely inspired by the early life of British madam Cynthia Payne, the film explores themes of adolescence, family, and personal discovery. The original music score was composed by Stanley Myers.
