Biography
Chas Smash, born Cathal Joseph "Carl" Smyth, is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known for his role in the band Madness. He served as the band's secondary vocalist, trumpet player, and dancer from their formation in the late 1970s until his departure in 2014. Smash contributed to Madness's distinctive sound and energetic live performances throughout their career.
