Biography

Christopher John Weitz is an American filmmaker and actor known for his collaborations with his brother Paul Weitz on comedy films such as *American Pie* and *About a Boy*, the latter of which earned them an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. Weitz has also contributed to a variety of other projects, including acting in Mike White's *Chuck & Buck*. As a director, he adapted Philip Pullman's *The Golden Compass* and Stephenie Meyer's *New Moon* from the *Twilight* series. He also wrote the screenplay for Disney's 2015 live-action adaptation of *Cinderella* and co-wrote *Rogue One* with Tony Gilroy and *Antz* with Todd Alcott and his brother Paul.
